A new version of The Lion King came out recently and the similarities to our business (and personal lives) are mirrored in the depths of it.
Scar and Mufasa.
From the same bloodline… the same family… yet so fastly different.
One a kind, compassionate lion living in the Pridelands… King of the Pride, father to Simba; the next heir to the throne.
The other one a cowardly, scared lion living in the Shadowlands… scheming to take over the Pride.
Reflections of the two selves living within us… the good and the bad.
We can’t have one without the other… the ying and yang of life.

Back to the story…
Scar kills Mufasa, blames it on Simba and shames him into leaving the Pride… Of not claiming his rightful place as King.
So Simba runs away and hides in the jungle ignoring the fact that he’s the rightful King instead of Scar.
Funny thing with life… we have the power to change what we don’t like yet we let our fears and insecurities run rampant.
Who you are and who you were meant to be is a birthright. But you must believe it long before anyone else will.
Just like when Simba finally faces his fear and steps into his power as the son of Mufasa and challenges Scar for control of the Pridelands…
If you let your fears and insecurities control you you’ll never qualify for anything… the only way to qualify for something is to step up and announce yourself… no one will do it for you… you must do it yourself.
